Baby Steps
Book 2. Alexander continues to dominate in the pages of this story and the other characters weave around him. While this book was 1,000 pages shorter than first it has hold your breath moments. Danger, past exes collide and tragedy strikes. Things happen in threes…I am struggling to connect with Krystina because she is annoying…you know the friend you have that never listens, never stops questioning and refuses to just let it happen…yeah that friend. It grows tedious and if not for the plot of Alex’s past gripping the story she would kill it for me. Hoping she changes because watching Alex peel his layers of trauma back in front of us is captivating. As for Krystina~ I expect more from her as his partner! Time will tell.
Understanding we can choose to buy or not… if the books are shorter should maybe they be offered as a “pack” I have many books of this length but none this price. I am just putting it out there for consideration. Having said that Alex is worth knowing. We have yet to hear the story of Hale. The story of where his mother is. Suzanne the problem friend of his very anxious sister and yes Justine~the sister she knows more! I give Alex 5 stars as he unwraps himself it is going to be great! The 4 stars is for the annoying Krystina.
Second in the Stone Trilogy
Alexander and Krystina and back in the second of the Stone Trilogy. There adventure continues as they learn more about each other. He is still controlling and impatient, and wanting everything his way. She is still driven, stubborn and caring. One place there is no clashing is in the bedroom.
This is one very very hot and steamy love story. But it is so much more. The writing is amazing. The storyline incorporates hot steamy love scenes into a tale of two people, their past, their present and all the obstacles life is throwing at them. It is one very fast emotional rollercoaster as it takes the readers for the ride right along with the characters. The characters are so alive they feel like they are in the room with you. The author does a fantastic job of the middle book in a trilogy keeping the reader interested and on edge. I can’t wait to see how their lives turn out in the final book. The first two books have been exceptional.
