Publisher Description
Introduction In the face of declining public resources for land acquisition, management and enforcement of protected areas, there is a need to explore new options for land conservation and sustainable use. In areas facing rapid changes in land ownership and resource use, special challenges arise in protecting natural areas and maintaining the integrity of landscapes. To sustain working landscapes, new approaches are needed that protect significant biological resources while maintaining local income from resource use.
