Publisher Description
Theo Prescott is better off alone. A successful divorce attorney, he knows that relationships don't last, true love isn't real, and fairy tales are the stuff of fantasy. Deep down, he knows if he let himself fall for someone, he'd only end up causing pain. And he refuses to do that to anyone—including and especially his best friend, Lauren. Even if she's gorgeous, ambitious, and smart. Warm and funny. Talented and quite possibly perfect for him.
Lauren MacKinnon has been pining after Theo for the better part of a decade. He's sexy, intelligent, thoughtful and makes her laugh harder than anyone else. He's her best friend, but if he knew how she felt about him, he'd run for the hills. She's well aware of how he feels about love and relationships. And as much as her unrequited feelings hurt, she's not willing to risk their friendship for an impossibility.
Lauren knows it's time to move on, so when her friends suggest Theo set her up on a blind date, she agrees. But when Theo realizes that he can't handle watching Lauren with another man, sparks just might fly.

4 1/2 Stars for this friends-to-lovers romance!
This is a very sensual and steamy beginning to a new series! I have a feeling these Prescott brothers are going to be a handful. Theo is the youngest and a divorce attorney ... which makes him all the more cynical. Plus, his parents did a crap job of providing a good example of happily-ever-after. I just loved Lauren as she has this bright personality that never gives up. The chemistry between Theo and Lauren has always been undeniable to everyone who knows them ... but they only saw themselves as best friends. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that I thought the ending was rushed ... there was a build-up through the whole story and then it was just resolved way too quickly. We also get a glimpse of the brothers that will have future books and I can't wait to read them! A fabulous start to a new series.
“Stupid Love” is brilliant!
Tara Wyatt’s done it again! The Prescott Bros begin with Theo & Lauren. Best friends, both secretly in love with one another, and both afraid to mess it up. You can feel Theo’s fear that his childhood has stunted him in relationships and isn’t sure the risk is worth what he has with Lauren.
The author is great for including strong & sometimes wacky friends & family into her stories so well that you cannot help but hope you’ll see them in following books.
Loved Theo & Lauren’s story and highly recommend it.
I received a ARC copy for my honest review.
Not sure if I’m more excited to read Sebastian’s or Lucian’s story more.
You don’t need to read her previous series Dallas Longhorns to enjoy, but we get a glimpse of the Prescott’s in the last one.
