A series with brothers meeting their matches

A variety of situations with very different personalities. One might assume that each brother would have similar challenges given their shared background, but the author has developed very different personalities, challenges, careers and perspectives. I enjoyed each story for its own merits. The first one is a best friend situation, slightly repetitive but worth the wait. Each book becomes slightly more adventurous. I appreciate that the author did not jump into cliche responses, allowing the characters to be intelligent and not knee-jerk emotional. The story developments are not what you would necessarily expect. I purchased the fourth, a mafia-styled romance which I do not typically read. It was of a completely different genre but yet I enjoyed the characters and writing. Although it was my least favourite for obvious reasons, given how the male lead is mentioned so favourably and lovingly in each of the previous books I valued knowing that he, too, overcame and found love and a life of his own.
