Super Bowl Game

Clay has little use for football.  In fact, he doesn’t like the game at all.  He does, however, love football players.  Tonight is the night of the Super Bowl and Clay is supposed to go to a party at a friend’s house in honor of the wondrous event.  He reluctantly agrees, though his friend Geoff knows that he is not excited about spending an entire night with a bunch of men he considers Neanderthals.  But Clay’s friend pressures him into going to the party anyway.  And what a party!  This is one Super Bowl that Clay will never forget!

Geoff’s big puppy dog eyes melted the gayer than Christmas Clay, and he gave into his friend and went to the Super Bowl party.  He pulled up in front of the million dollar mansion that belonged to Geoff’s parents just in time for kickoff.


Clay entered slowly and Geoff proudly introduced him to the others, a little too proudly in Clay’s opinion.  The big screen was loud and it was proudly displaying the two best football teams in the nation, as if Clay cared.  He looked around the den at the ten or so men drinking beer and eating chips, thinking how he belonged almost anywhere but here.  Geoff’s friends seemed nice enough and they were very friendly, though Clay didn’t know any of them.  He took a seat and it wasn’t long before he realized that these guys were not watching the game.  Like Clay, they were watching the football players.  And these men were not at all shy.  If someone saw something he liked, he would go and get it.
