5 things I Love About This Book
I received an ARC of this book to read through Edelweiss+. All opinions are my own. Ten Things I Hate About the Duke by Loretta Chase is the second book in her engaging Difficult Dukes series. This book begins as the first book ends, and so I do feel that you should read them in order, to get a good understanding of the hero of this book Lucius Wilmot Beckingham, Duke of Ashmont. I adored everything about this book, Cassandra Pomfret is a wonderful heroine, smart, sassy, sure of her worth and someone you’d want for your best friend. Lucius has reached a turning point in his life, and he’s not quite sure how to manage it when meeting Cassandra again offers him a purpose and a chance to become the person she always thought he could be. I love that he listens to her and takes the time to understand what it is she is telling him. With nods to both The Taming of the Shrew and my favourite movie, Ten Things I Hate About You, I enjoyed reading this book immensely and highly recommend it. Steam Level: Medium.
