The Ares Weapon
I enjoyed the book and wanted to read it in one sitting. The characters were well developed with many flawes that caused the conflicts within the story. The use of nanites gave timing of the story a plausible timeline. I look forward to reading more stories with female main character of this book.
Enjoyed the story!
This is the first book in the Mars Ascendant series. The main character is intelligent, tough and likeable. The story line is good and while it stands on it’s own, does lead you into the rest of the series (no cliff-hangers). I found that reading a prior short story called Owen’s Gift provided useful information. A good story and I’ve purchased the second book in the series.
The Ares Weapon is Superb
Right from the beginning I loved the characters, the plot, the amazingly well developed 24th (?) century (filled with places and governments and diseases I never could have conceived; but they all made perfect sense). The author had a very witty and easy to read writing style. He made me laugh frequently, and he made me feel for the characters. And right up to the very end, the plot was a real page-turner with so many unexpected intrigues and surprises. What a treat to read a novel like this. I highly recommend this book to all readers.
