Publisher Description
Ideas for paintings start as images that burn into my mind's eye while I am riding my bike or sitting in my yard. Those images float in my thoughts. And then I record them in my black sketchbook. I have dozens of black sketchbooks filled with drawings and thoughts that have dates. When I finish a sketchbook I put it in a box with other black books. And then I open a new sketchbook with white pages and start the process all over again.
These are some of the rough drawings for paintings that I like most. A “rough” drawing is a scribble of a drawing. Enough to capture the essence of the composition of what might become a painting later.
If you are an artist then you will find this book wonderful.
