And the Kincaide Saga continues!
This is the second book in the series and although it reads as a standalone, I would suggest you read the first book for background of the Kincaide family dynamics. I really liked Lacy ... she just rolled with the punches that life handed her and didn't take crap from anyone ... not even Ridge. I liked Ridge well enough, I just found him insincere in the beginning. But as the book went on, I liked him more and more. Ms, West sure know how to write those steamy scenes ... hot! With all the family drama, it reminds me of Yellowstone and I can't wait for the rest of the Kincaide sibling's books.
Ridge Kincaide has always along with whatever his controlling mother wants. And even though she has set him up to marry a socialite, all he can think of is Lacy and the one night they spent together. Lacy has been called white trash since childhood. Afterall, her parents care more about their next fix than they do feeding or looking after their two kids. When she ends up pregnant after her night with Ridge, she has no delusions that they could ever be a couple. Her biggest hope is that he might take care of some of the baby's needs and if not, she will work it out somehow. Needless to say, she is flabbergasted when he wants to take care of them both.

I loved it!
This is the second book in the Canyon Spring Series, a Small Town Billionaire Forbidden Cowboy Romance. This is a standalone in the series. Lacy and Ridge's story is well written, sweet, and engaging. Lacy is beautiful, smart, strong, and determined. Ridge is enigmatic, and controlling. I liked the banter, and the sizzling chemistry. I loved to follow them in their slow burn journey to love. The supporting characters are interesting. I enjoyed it.

OMG this book had me laughing. Ridge and Lacy are so engaging. I love how Lacy put him in his place without really trying. I also love how Ridge stood up for her. They brought out the best in each other and made them stronger together. It was a good read and can’t wait to see what comes next from these new to me authors.
