Book has helped me immensely
After diagnosis of ruptured spleen, lymphoma and myeloma in my 12 year old dog the decisions we had to make were very difficult to handle. Her spleen was five man hand sizes and two inches thick. I downloaded the book and it has guided me throughout our decision making. I started with change of diet and moved forward. Our black lab has severe hip dysplasia in right hip for three years. We have decided with vet and oncologist that a quality of life was our favoured position. I go back and reread the book to continue learning in case I missed steps. It also is therapeutic to confirm how I am feeling and how others have felt. I have already recommended this book to others I recently heard are dealing with cancer. Others who are doing chemo too. The part that really helped me today was the journal discussion. I have notes what she has daily and her disposition. Yet the highlight and light bulb that went off today was the journal I am going to start keeping of my life and last few weeks of our beloved pet and going back writing down humorous and loving memories of Jackie. I like to doodle and will incorporate pictures into the journal. Thanks you all for a wonderful book. Joanne armstrong, south surrey, British Columbia canada
