Lovely Christmas Adventure
I received an ARC of this book to read through Edelweiss+ in exchange for a fair review. The Earl’s Christmas Pearl is a Duke’s Daughters series Christmas Novella by Megan Frampton.
Lady Pearl Howlett was accidentally left behind when her mother left London to spend Christmas at the family seat in the country. Alone for the first time in her life Pearl is delighting in the freedom this brings until she realises that being alone also means there is no food in the house. Owen Dwyfor, Earl of Llanover has come to London from Wales to seek treatment for an injured leg and is spending Christmas next door to Pearl at his godmothers home. He too is delighted to be alone and enjoying the peace and solitude when Pearl comes knocking on his door seeking sustenance. They share a lovely Christmas adventure complete with the joy of knowing someone who understands you and quite a few witty puns. I enjoyed this story very much and recommend it as a pleasurable escape from the bustle of the Christmas season.
