Publisher Description
Thalia knows three things;
Her first name.
That she barely escaped the clutches of the Septori with the help of a mysterious stranger.
And that her run in with the Septori’s iron butterfly machine did something to her. It changed her into something neither fully human nor Denai.
Fearing her inner darkness and seeking answers to her past, Thalia finds refuge as a servant at the Citadel in Calandry, a school for the gifted Denai.
When strange powers awaken within her she is forced to pretend to be one of them and goes from being a servant to student overnight. Her life becomes even more complicated when the handsome stranger who saved her from the Septori becomes her new fighting instructor.
Thalia knows that the Septori are still looking for her, and they will stop at nothing to get her back.
Dead or alive.

Iron butterfly
Great story captivating and the heroine is likeness and strong
Iron Butterfly
It was too short but it was really good. I reminded me a lot of Keeper of The Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger with the characters and the plot but only vaguely. It was great!

I really liked this story and I will read the next book. The characters are interesting and the pace is pretty good but there is a desperate need for editing. The errors in grammar begin almost immediately and continue to the end. Many times there were complete words missing. Normally I can ignore the odd mistake here and there but there are so many it’s a distraction. There are some minor structural problems that can be easily fixed but, again, overall I really like the plot and its direction. Find a good editor!
