The Lighthouse

A lone traveler, who knows all ways, but does not choose a way, for a way confines and does not expand the horizon, Devi Nangrani is a unique writer and poetess in every sense, for she teaches, writers, edits, translates, reviews, and is always ready to help the aspiring writers.

Her works in Sindhi language are incomparable, but her English and Hindi writings are equally admirable. In her brief career as a writer, she has been highly productive, churning out stories, poems, translations, and reviews. Each and every word in her works is not only appropriate but also indispensible. It is owing to her thoughtfulness and her concentration that she has been greatly admired in several countries. She is the winner of many literary awards.

The present collection of poem comes from her earlier writings. However, these poems were scattered on several different writing and poetry platforms. This is the first attempt to bring her earlier poems in the present book “Lighthouse.”
