Deliciously Sweet Story
Hazel meets Antonio at her former cooking school and interest flares. Will miscommunications keep them apart? I loved how much Hazel and Antonio bonded over baking, which translated into a love for each other. Plus, all the delicious descriptions of the pastries and dessert made my mouth water! A wonderfully delicious story.
Awe. That was so sweet!
Awe. That was so sweet! That seems like a wildly appropriate reaction to a story about a pair of pasty-baking magic users. I loved how Hazel and Antonio’s story was not just about the two of them finding a life partner in each other but also carried messages of being true to yourself and some of the less pleasant results of jumping to conclusions. I really enjoyed seeing the cameo appearances from some of my favorite characters out of other books and series from this world, and I can’t wait to read even more.

Baking with magic
Hazel and her sister’s run a bakery and she is asked by her favorite chef to give a class on her macaroons and how she puts magic in them. Hazel meets Antonio, a sous chef and this is where the fun begins. There is a misunderstanding and romance. There is magic in baking and in cooking. This was a fun, easy read that I enjoyed and would recommend.
