Best read
I have read this book on paper back and it's the best book that I have ever read. Although it's a fictional story, it's locations are real and Bryce Courtenay captures the time, spirit and struggle in South Africa through a story that is powerful and touching. I have recommended and bought this book as gift many times and I have not come across one person who has never loved it. A purchase and read that you won't regret.

I never was much for reading as a kid actually I hated reading and this book changed all of that.... Bryce courtenay is by far not the best book seller but the worlds best author .... Every book penned by him is never a let down but rather leaves you craving for more...In love with the words inscribed on paper that come together to create characters that touch your heart and reach the depths of your soul.....

This is my all time favourite book. I read it 20 years ago and just reread it. Still my favourite book and I read a lot!
