This short romance involves a hopeless romantic and a hero who doesn’t believe in happily ever after. In fact, he tried to set her up with his best friend, so she knows that he is uninterested in her and doesn’t have a track record of having any relationship lasting any amount of time. She, on the other hand, can’t seem to stay single for any amount of time. Enter the no-dating bet where they agree not to date. But fate and a little old lady with two sweet little dogs seems bent on bringing them together. Sparks fly but communication does not, so our hero tries help reconcile her with his best friend, proving once again he is uninterested in her. Or perhaps he just wants to give her the desires of her heart. Finally they both decide to communicate and love is in the air. Many of the relationships in this book seem contrived, such as the lovely old lady and dog owner and even our hero and heroine who, for most of the book, seem perhaps poorly matched, in my honest opinion. She who doesn’t seem mature enough to be in a relationship without her rose coloured glasses on, nor him with his inability to communicate or commit. Nevertheless, they make it work and everyone enjoys a HEA.
