It’s hard to imagine a cuter meet-cute than the setup of Three Little Words, in which a bridesmaid and a best man—both single—take an unexpected road trip to save their pals’ wedding. But the third installment of Jenny Holiday’s Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series gleefully (and satisfyingly) flouts frothy romance conventions. Holiday’s characters are as quirky and likable as your own friends, her story takes unexpected turns, and the dialogue is consistently clever. Best of all, the book’s central conflict doesn’t assume that relationship choices boil down to all-in commitment or no-strings-attached hookups, plus it stomps all over gender stereotypes.

Holiday's third Bridesmaids Behaving Badly novel (after One and Only) combines pure fun with surprising depth for a contemporary rom-com. After a massive storm in New York City derails model Gia Gallo's plans to transport her friend's wedding dress to Florida for the ceremony, she joins forces with the best man, philanthropic chef Bennett Buchanan, who's charged with delivering the wedding rings. Highly descriptive; the author provides narratives from both the female and male prospective. Very detailed passionate encounters; sometimes bordering on the vulgar. Is a bit long winded. Good read if travelling.
