Publisher Description
Jennifer's not perfect. Not even close. But she may just capture your heart.
At 27, Jennifer's out of work, her mom just died, and despite stellar qualifications, every job interview ends in rejection.
Haunted by the teasing, taunts, and fat jokes that defined her childhood, Jennifer blames her unhappiness on her ever-growing waist-band.
And she's ready for change.
Messy and real.
Beautiful and harsh.
When Comes The Joy (previously titled Skinny Me) explores one woman's journey along the road of forgiveness, healing, and strength.

Comfortable and Enjoyable
The description of this book appealed to me as I had started my own journey with weight loss. (70 lbs in) I could relate to many thoughts & issues the main character dealt with. It felt like I had a friend with the same goals. I was sorry it ended. Enjoyed every minute of it and just bought the next books in the series. You won't be disappointed.
When comes Joy
Fantastic book I couldn’t put it down.
Loved every page of it well done Charlene.
Frustrating but motivational!
First of all, I LOVED this book. However, I do have to tell the truth that the main character’s attitude for most of this book was so frustrating! I often found myself yelling at her through the pages. Oops. However, I couldn’t stop reading it. So many real life issues and emotions got me right in the gut. It motivated me to get to the gym as well. Ha. This book spoke the truth about how people see themselves and think other people see them. I related to a lot of this story!
