Will the U.S. Walk Away Again‪?‬

The reason we are raising this question is uncertainty prevailing at the moment about the partnership on war on terror between Pakistan and the United States. The America's unilateral action in Abbottabad in which it killed Bin Laden and took away his corpse and trove of information about him, and, his al-Qaeda network has left behind a big political storm in the country. The raid has shocked the security establishment of Pakistan and the Pakistani nation as a whole, raising a troubling question; why the United States decided to do it alone, knowing well that it would be considered humiliating intrusion into Pakistan and, that would result into denting the prestige and national standing of the intelligence agencies and armed forces.
