The CDS, an MP, media personalities, and industry partners lace up for this year's run Q: Have you participated in previous Canada Army Runs? If yes, will you be running again this year and in which race? Gen. Walt Natynczyk, Chief of Defence Staff: Unfortunately, there has only been one occasion, since I've been CDS, where I've had the chance to participate in the Army Run because its timing usually conflicts with the scheduling of annual high level NATO meetings. Since I can't be at the event this year, I will be holding my own Army Run while attending NATO meetings. I plan to cover at least a 5K course in a deliberate and steady fashion.
