This book details a difficult personal journey. When companies close or downscale because of heavy taxes, Richard Stewart begins working off shore as a necessity. The mining industry is not for everyone. It's hard, it's rugged, it's dangerous, it's challenging. Families are broken as a result of long hours and living apart due to the long-distance aspect of the work. Richard Stewart trained to work in every part of the mining and gas industry all over Australia. His faith kept him going in challenging times, fighting the heat, the rain, the flies, and the loneliness. His family was left at home, waiting for the day he would come home. This is a story of courage, a story about how, when a world recession hits, one man found the resilience to keep going.

Richard Stewart is a native of New Zealand. He has worked as an electrician, pilot, and miner. This is his second book.
