Estonian Flower Sleepy Cap Knitting Pattern

The pattern comes in newborn size only.
It is meant to fit the baby for the first two weeks. It makes a great coming home from the hospital outfit, and it also is the size that is preferred by newborn photographers.

You will need a skein of DK weight yarn and the needles to obtain the gauge (this pattern's gauge is 21 sts in 4in/10cm in stockinette stitch). This pattern works best if the yarn you choose is smooth, with great stitch definition, in a solid color. The flower pattern itself is quite “busy” and it looks best when all is knit in one solid color.
The hat is knit flat.
