An intelligent scientist creates a monster after conducting a series of experiments. The monster puts a strange demand in front of his creator. He asks for a female partner, who must be just like him. When the scientist refuses to make a female monster, the male monster starts killing people who are close to the scientist. This is a fine novel by Mary Shelly.
