Schöner, unterhaltsamer Einstieg in die Reihe (41/2 Sterne)
Das Buch liefert eine schöne Liebesgeschichte, die sich zunächst eher langsam entwickelt, im Verlauf des Romans nimmt die Geschichte aber an Fahrt an.
Ich liebe den lockeren Schreibstil der Autorin und ihr Humor passt für mich perfekt. Die Dialoge fühlen sich für mich echt an und sind sehr unterhaltsam. Die beiden Hauptcharaktere sind sympathisch und interessant, was will man mehr.
Wer unterhaltsame Liebesromane mag, sollte sich die Reihe unbedingt anschauen.
This can’t be a Penny Reid book
Soulless ai slop from an author that used to be known for great plot and characters. Either she licensed her name to a startup with an LLM or she honestly made the decision that writing about boys would make the book interesting enough that she wouldn’t need to do characters or plot or dialogue even. I honestly suspect the former, because this reads nothing like a penny Reid novel. I feel like I’ve been scammed, and I’m not reading Penny Reid again.
