Ghosts and Shadows

Detective Cadillac Holland finds himself in the middle of a potential gang war; one which threatens to erupt on the streets of New Orleans as the city prepares for a municipal election, the New Orleans Saints to play in their first Super Bowl, and the first Mardi Gras parades are preparing to roll. His ability to investigate the situation is hampered by a Deputy Director of Homeland Security who has ordered him to drop his investigation but does not seem interested in putting a stop to it himself. NOPD's Chief of Detectives and his captain at the State Police give Holland their unofficial blessing to find out what is happening. Still, none of them are prepared for the political and criminal machinations he discovers are being brought to the streets of New Orleans at the worst possible moment. Detective Holland puts a target on his own back to draw the players in this high-stakes chess game out of the shadows and uses his wits and wiles to redirect the violence and end the threat he sees being made against his hometown and his family.
