Memoirs of a Chalutz is a delightful series of true vignettes based on Mordy Cohen's experiences as a participant in the birth of The State of Israel. Mordy's recollections are based on a series of letters written to his Aunt Edith and published in the "Forward" in Chicago 1947 - 1951.
