How do you miss what you’ve never had? Raina knows all about “sight”—that strange sense that exists somewhere between hearing and touch, but has never experienced it herself. When people talk about a color, say “red,” she pictures the velvety smooth feel of rose petals and the lovely scent. She didn’t miss sight, since she never knew it. Hearing, however, fills her days with joy.
