Salton is a quiet, upper middle-class suburb whose denizens live quiet, uncomplicated lives.

Rose and Judy are members of the "Symphony Seven," founders and board members of the Salton Symphony. When Rose, a widow and mother of three adult children, wakes up in hospital with a concussion, she doesn't remember how she was injured, but she is able to tell the police how she found her friend Judy bludgeoned to death.

Not long after, another of their circle finds the body of her tenant. Will the women's friendship survive the shocking revelations they never imagined would touch a tight-knit community like Salton?
