Melora Rayne was surprised and more than a little mystified, when in the mid-1980s she inherited a defunct art gallery from her ‘honorary’ Uncle Bart. A man with a well documented flair for failure, it was something of a miracle that Bart had actually owned anything free and clear to will to her. Adding to her confusion was the fact of a partner she’d inherited along with the gallery.

Businessman Cameron Lowell was no happier than Melora to be on the receiving end of the odd bequest, but despite their differing personal philosophies and a somewhat rocky beginning, he meant to give the terms of Barton Chandler’s peculiar will a fair chance to succeed.
The development of an unwelcome attraction which neither partner had anticipated was further complicated by Melora’s discovery of a mysterious art treasure and her subsequent attempts to convince Cam that a would-be thief was after it.

As the date for the gallery’s grand re-opening drew near it was anybody’s guess whether a lasting partnership could be forged by the bequest of a well-meaning, but hapless entrepreneur.
