When a local man is murdered tensions are heightened as the investigation moves from neighbours and friends, to store owners, colleagues, and students... all with actions that are questionable. Inspector Richard Carson is well aware that a small town like Berston is a hard place to keep a secret. When the police investigation into the homicide builds, the suspect list grows as underlying issues come to light.
Where will the evidence take him? Will he catch the murderer in time?
