Living in two worlds isn't easy—especially when one of those worlds has a dragon and a knight. So far, Jayden's kept her home of Calgary and Canonsland separate. But on a hike with her mother, that changes when the Winter Dragon bursts out of the river, Sir Edric is stabbed by a knife-wielding woman, and Jayden's mother nearly drowns.

Never before has Jayden needed to return to Canonsland. That day has come now. When she finally returns, she finds Wyndham and the dragon injured too. Everything pinpoints to one person: To the woman Jayden saw that held a knife by the river.  

As a knight-in-training, Jayden hunts the woman across Canonsland with Laurence. However, in the search to find her, Jayden must confront her own secrets. Secrets she's kept from everyone . . . including herself.
