This We Believe

All Christian denominations, churches, organisations, etc., have much in common but also have something that makes them different and distinctive. There is nothing wrong with that, unless that distinctive doctrine or practice is elevated to too high a priority.

 

The Open Bible Trust wanted to avoid this and that was why, in its Doctrinal Basis, the doctrines were numbered and listed in a specific order. The “something” that makes the Open Bible Trust different and distinctive is not the most important part of its work. The most important concerns Jesus Christ: who He is and what He did

 

These doctrines are expressed under three headings: evangelical, fundamental and dispensational. In this publication these are defined, together with explanatory short articles by a variety of authors.
