What if two people meet and fall in love but the meeting was based on deception?  It is the story of an African-American real-estate tycoon who is unable to look the other way after seeing a beautiful woman in one of his buildings.  Leon Walker was not the typical landlord, all his buildings are ran by corporations, and his tenants consider him a slumlord.
Brandi Taylor was a romance writer, smart, practical, energetic, and independent.  The Taylor relatives wanted her to marry Mac Johnson.  He owned an insurance agency, and was successful.  But there was also Leon Walker, a curious, brooding man of great mystery.  Whoever he was, he was not at all like Mac:  Leon was the most exasperating, polished, arrogant, man she ever met.  And the most fascinating.
