"Kill two birds with one stone" or "Feed two birds with one hand"?

Though it may not always be obvious, our choice of language impacts - and is impacted by - the world. Idioms are common phrases that we often use without much thought, but when we pay attention, we can see how they are intertwined with systems of normalized violence. And with some awareness and adjustments, we can adapt these idioms to be more inclusive and peaceful. Evolving our language choice isn't the only way to dismantle systems of normalized violence, but We Can Say... is one step along the path - a drop in the ocean, rippling out - to a more peaceful world.
