Can this night get any worse?

No. Really. Can it? I need to know.

Because we're all tapped out. My magic, something I've barely ever been allowed to use before, is almost totally spent. Matt's hands might well be ruined. I don't even want to see how bad things are for both of our friends trapped in my house…

…so naturally, of course, something is watching us.

Something I didn't even know existed in our lake: a Siren.

Now, I know what they are. I know what they do. What I can't figure out is: what on earth is she doing here?

Obviously she's been drawn to the house because of our…less-than-stellar interactions with the Swans, then a Singer.

But now she's hanging around, even though it's crystal clear: the show's over.

So what exactly does she want? And even more: will my magic be able to handle it?
