Unafraid

I failed.

That's why I'm here. That's why we're all here:

Because I wasn't strong enough.

Now, we're as good as dead. Might as well be, really. I should've gotten us out of that water.

I mean: really, I should've kept us out of the lake to begin with. Failing that—which, yeah, duh…

I should've been stronger.

Now, it's time to make up for that lost strength. I have to. We can't stay in limbo—purgatory, whatever—for the rest of eternity. It's not right. Matt didn't do anything to deserve this, no matter how much he's supported me.

In fact, that's why he doesn't deserve this. He was only trying to help.

Look where that got him. Look where it got all our friends, our loved ones.

But the dead here are lonely. Desperately so. They're so happy to see us…

…and they definitely don't want us to leave.

Except we have to. We don't belong here.

Well. Maybe I do. Matt and the others certainly don't. It's not their fault we're here in the first place.

So now, I have to give it one last go. The final hurrah of my magic. Can I get them out in time, before the souls here bury us and we're trapped in purgatory forever?
