Henry Christopher Bailey (1878–1961) was an English detective author. Reggie Fortune, a medically qualified detective, is a protagonist of a lot of his stories. Dark atmosphere, mortal obsessions, corruption and vices – these are Bailey’s detective fiction distinctive feature. The Sullen Sky Mystery (1935) is considered to be his greatest work. Bailey’s works were published in various magazines.
