American Gods, the extraordinary, highly acclaimed epic novel from storytelling genius and international bestseller Neil Gaiman, comes vividly to life this May in the hottest major TV show of 2017. Praised by Empire as 'something very special', the series will be shown in the UK on Amazon Prime Video and stars Ricky Whittle, Ian McShane, Emily Browning and Gillian Anderson.

Honestly you will not be disappointed, great cast reading a wonderful book. I found the book heavy going to opted for this purchase. I started to look forward to my commute to work.
I'm not daring you, you don't have a choice!
An outstanding listen
I have always treated audiobooks with a degree of caution, for the fear of them being voiced in a very wooden manner, but took the plunge with American Gods, as it is one of my favourite ever books.
Gaiman narrates the story wonderfully, and the supporting cast of characters only adds to it. This was a very worthwhile 19 hours and I would recommend it to anyone who adores the book as much as I did.
My favourite Gaiman book
It’s hard to choose a favourite book by Neil Gaiman, and really nobody is forcing me to, but I choose this one.
It brings together the very best of his recurring themes of mythology, secret worlds and his unique ability to write and narrate beautifully.
Shadow is a wonderfully created character and Wednesday is a fabulous and original interpretation of Odin. Easter is my favourite character here though, even though she appears only fleetingly, her importance to the story is significant and she is presented in a wonderful way.
