Get to the point already!
16 hours for a £15 audiobook. (Less than £3 for the book) It would have been better if they cut the time and cut the price! Shame on the editor who doesn't give the listener enough credit. We have been listening! No need to repeat the same thing over and over again. Just as things were getting interesting (end of part one) the listener becomes exposed to a bleak description of nothing and more... Nothing. Why decide to use a male narrator to read a female story? As good as the narrator sounded as the main character Jack. I found his female voices distracting and sometimes offensive. "Hey chica" (reminded me of a ladyboy) The narrator also had trouble using his outdoor voice for mumbles and whispers. "JACK!" she mumbled Again - distracting.
The story could have been amazing but the author unfortunately could not pull it together. So close!
