Millie Chandler is known at work as the nice receptionist who got dumped by the company hotshot, and ever since then, she has vowed to keep everything to herself - her feelings, her hopes, and especially her fears.

But Millie does have an outlet: her emails. From sarcastic replies to her rude boss, rants to friends about their terrible taste in men to a five-hundred-word love declaration to her ex, who three years on, is about to marry someone else. Millie's reality lives in her drafts until the morning she discovers that they are somehow in her sent folder. The truth is out.

As every dark secret she's worked so hard to keep password protected is released, Millie must fix the chaos her words have caused.

Will Millie find the strength to open both her heart, and her inbox?

I actually enjoyed this book, the best part for me is the story outside of the draft messages that should never have been sent.

The main character Millie who is a receptionist. They often say that mixing business with pleasure rarely works out. That’s what she did and then she was royally dumped by the gaslighting despicable Owen just over 2 years ago.

To make matters worse not only is he dating another member of staff he is due to get married…

Now in order to get her feelings out she types out emails to whoever has hurt, upset or whatever she feels to the relevant person. In her mind there is no harm as she only puts them in the draft folder. After all what harm could it do?…

Well she is about to find out when one day she goes into work and is summoned to a meeting with her bosses. All her truths are out there and she automatically thinks she will be fired.

She then has to deal with the fallout. Some of that was silly how she went about trying make-up for the mistake. Was it a computer power outage or human intervention???

But outside of that I love how Millie gave up trying to be a certain way and started her journey to accepting and finding herself.

There is one man who she has a huge crush on and she is mortified that she sent an email all about “hot Jack”

But, they strike up a wonderful friendship that may have the possibility of more…

What does life have in store for Millie and how does she move forward…

This made me laugh and there were cringe moments and I found myself routing for Millie at the end. Plus there were some great characters and some I detested especially Owen but his behaviour is very true to his type of character.
