APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
IVF has—like it does for so many couples—taken a huge emotional, mental and financial toll on Tara and Colin. Joseph Murray’s rom-com introduces the Dublin couple as they appear to be growing further apart and doomed for separation—until marketer Tara goes after the account for a new anonymous cheating dating app called Fling. She soon gives into temptation and signs up, with Colin—after encouragement from a pal—not too far behind her. The pair quickly receive a 100% match, and each find themselves rejuvenated. But will they actually go through with the cheating, or can they find their way back to each other? Murray writes the couple with compelling honesty and fairness—you empathise with both their positions throughout—and crafts his very modern story with care, wry humour and great affection.
Customer Reviews
I try not to give bad reviews but….
I found this excruciatingly awful. It’s a glaringly obvious plot about two dislikable, morally bankrupt people and frankly makes me fear for the future if this is considered literature. If I ever hear the words “winky face” again, I will scream. It has one joke in it and that’s a sexist one at that.
