Gus and Tess are two 18 year olds that meet in Florence for the briefest of moments and as their eyes meet the world stops for a just a moment but unbeknownst to them there will be a distance of 16 years.
Tess is about to go to university so this is a holiday with her best friend knowing she has hard work ahead.
Gus is on holiday with his parents they are reeling from a personal tragedy and are being very British and polite to get through their time away.
Over the course of 16 years their paths almost cross and until one day the world stops and recognition dawns, were they meant to meet? What has life taught them about themselves?
I just fell in love with this book….
