Brooke is a Babysitter for her best friend Ali’s daughter Eden. One day while walking in the park with Eden, Brooke is attacked. She loses consciousness and as she comes too she realises that Eden has been taken..…
All is not what it seems and Brooke is not unsettled because she knows who has taken Eden. She has told too many lies and the whole thing spirals.
We then hear the pov’s of the culprit and the mother Ali. The back story is based on revenge, Brooke had her heartbroken and was ghosted and hurt by the culprit. Her misguided motivation is money. She had a taste of living away from home and is back living with her overbearing mother who is continually in her personal business.
Brooke has told too many lies and that includes the police. As the investigation into Eden’s whereabouts is ongoing the detectives start to smell a rat, as the walls start closing in Brooke hatches a plan to get Eden back. In her imagination she will be hailed the heroine of the piece who found Eden and everything will go back to normal….
All this is going on and Brooke seems to be so focused on her plan that she does not seem to grasp the devastation she is causing Ali , her husband an the culprit are feeling and was it worth putting the culprit through the pain she caused?
