The irresistible new romantic comedy from the number one bestselling author. Discover the joy that awaits when you set yourself free...
Sasha is well and truly over it all: work (all-consuming), friendships (on the back burner), sex-life (non-existent). Sasha has hit a brick wall.
Armed with good intentions to drink kale smoothies, try yoga and find solitude, she heads to the Devon resort she loved as a child. But it's off-season, the hotel is falling apart and now she has to share the beach with someone else: a grumpy, stressed-out guy called Finn. How can she commune with nature when he's sitting on a rock, watching her? Especially when they don't agree on burnout cures. (Sasha: manifesting, wild swimming, secret chocolate bars; Finn: drinking whisky.)
But when curious messages start appearing on the beach, Sasha and Finn are forced to begin talking - about everything. What's the mystery? Why are they both burned out? What exactly is 'manifesting', anyway?
They might discover that they have more in common than they think...

Good story, excellent narrator
Sophie's storytelling shines, deftly illuminating the profound effects of burnout on one's emotional state and perspective. The narrator skillfully accentuates every nuanced joke penned by the author, transforming the listening experience into something exceptionally enjoyable and engaging. Her narration elevates the story, making each moment resonate with both humor and depth.
I highly recommend it!
Not bad, not good
Putting aside the multiple LGBT references that modern writers feel so compelled to include, to ensure they can signal they are onboard with DEI, this book is a light read with good humour and obvious plot lines. The audio version is a delight due to the range and talent of the voice actor, which saves one from having to read, for what is the most part, not a particularly compelling example of the genre.
I personally would stick with Nora Robert’s, more insight into the human condition and no normalising the abnormal just because a writer is scared of being cancelled.
A nice romance
I don’t agree with a previous review that said it was awful. It’s a nice romance story, a bit of light hearted escapism.
