Publisher Description
In the near future, where America has become a police state, one hundred boys are selected to enter an annual contest where the winner will be awarded whatever he wants for the rest of his life.
The game is simple - maintain a steady walking pace of four miles per hour without stopping. Three warnings, and you're out - permanently.

…It’s OK
I found this book quite narrow in it’s plot concepts. Without giving too much away its about the relationships a group of teenage boys have whilst participating in this ‘walk until your dead’ contest with one winner. There is quite an abrupt ending which made me ask ‘is that it?’ I was left wanting for more. The plot concept of this book feels quite narrow. Without revealing too much, the narrative focuses on the relationships between a group of teenage boys who are participating in a grim "walk until you're dead" contest, with the prize going to the sole survivor. The ending, in particular, is quite abrupt, leaving the reader with a resounding "is that it?" and a definite feeling of being left wanting more.
