Publisher Description
Open yourself to the transforming experience of The Power of Now, the acclaimed bestseller by revolutionary spiritual teacher Eckhart Tolle. To make the journey into the Now we will need to leave our analytical mind and its false created self, the ego, behind. From the very first page of Eckhart Tolle's extraordinary book, we move rapidly into a significantly higher altitude where we breathe a lighter air. We become connected to the indestructible essence of our Being, “The eternal, ever present One Life beyond the myriad forms of life that are subject to birth and death.” Although the journey is challenging, Eckhart Tolle uses simple language and an easy question and answer format to guide us. A word of mouth phenomenon since its first publication, The Power of Now is one of those rare books with the power to create an experience in readers, one that can radically change their lives for the better.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
In terms of commitment, The Power of Now is somewhere between using an online meditation app and going deep into the tenets of Buddhism philosophy. Spiritual adviser Eckhart Tolle has a wonderfully soothing voice that avoids woo-woo mysticism—during the course of this book, he reveals his own struggles with depression and an overactive mind, coming across as more of a relatable friend than some kind of guru. The Power of Now positions self-improvement as an ongoing process, not a specific goal…which is probably the healthiest way to think of it.

Mind and thought changing
I’m not sure how it happened, but this book really helped me understand and stopped me overthinking about things and doing my own head in.
I have heard that it does try to persuade you not to be religious or believe in a God, but that is up to you. It will not brainwash you if your faith is strong, but it did have a good theological point about God and religion, but that wasn’t what I got hooked into this dress-up something that I had no idea had a name, which was a pain body, and I had been creating a lot of pain bodies, and once I realised this, it wasn’t instant, but I had a big pain body storm, and it kind of cleared the way for more logical, open thinking about day-to-day challenging stuff that used to send me spinning into depression, self-loathing, lack, and paranoia, and now that is all gone with a few simple techniques that I honed
myself from the knowledge of being explained by the book.
Awesome ..and much appreciated
Listening to this powerful audiobook, I understood Eckart Toal explain full acceptance, the pain body, what it means to surrender and what it means to be present.
One thing I learned recently was gratitude, as I beat Cancer two years ago, that made a massive difference to my mindset.
That helped me to take the time to learn more about meditation and “the present moment”, I highly recommend The power of now.
It’s helped Focus my thoughts and change the maelstrom of emotion into a much more positive paradigm, freeing me of much self-inflicted suffering.
There are many ways to be empowered; this book is one, after reading or listening to, it will leave you with no doubt about that.
Waste of money
