Allie Burns no 2
It’s 1989 and in quick succession Allie Burns has reported on the aftermath of Lockerbie, Kegworth and Hillsborough. No wonder she is beginning to feel burnt out, and not really delivering on her love for investigative reporting.
She has found an angle on HIV/AIDS in Edinburgh, and linked that to drugs trials in Eastern Europe where safety standards appear loose.
This takes her to Berlin, and being detained by the Stasi, before her proprietor negotiates her release.
Meanwhile, Ace Lockhart - the proprietor- is not all he seems and claims to be, a survivor of massacre of Jews in Eastern Poland.
Gripping drama, easily read.
