Love Beautiful Creatures.

Read it in about 4 days. Interesting cast of characters and a love story which left me hooked. So much more detailed than the film (Which is alright despite flaws).

This is not Twilight.

Beautiful creatures

2 stars, even that's being generous.
I bought this book after looking at the great reviews, thinking it would be a great read. However I was very disappointed. Although the plot, that the author had initially created, was good, the overall telling of the story was awful. Some chapters felt as if they were being dragged out and others were completely unnecessary. Not only that but the characters were not all that relatable (even if it is a supernatural book the characters should still be relatable), for example the male lead he doesn't seem to be getting frustrated or looking for answers as a normal boy would, he's just going along with everything and following the girls lead. Other times it was just confusing. You think you have a grasp on what it, actually, is that their doing and where the story's going, but then everything changes. This is not a twist in the plot to make it interesting and to make you want to read more. It's aggravating which in actual fact makes you want to throw the book down. If you want my advice don't read it, plain and simple.

Good book in a dragged out series

As a stand alone this book was quite good, it was interesting and actually quite a good book, but i then went on to read the second books, where nothing of concequence happened and i really couldne tbe bothered reading this. If your looking for another book to pass time that gives you some enjoymeny then this book is for you, but if you want to read somthing really gripping with books that continue well throughout the series after reading the really well known ones like Harry potter and The Hunger Games then id sugest things like Shatter me and Legend
