Sometimes it's easy to fall between the cracks...
At 3.04 p.m. on a hot, sticky day in June, Bess finds out she's pregnant.
She could tell her social worker Henry, but he's useless.
She should tell her foster mother, Lisa, but she won't understand.
She really ought to tell Boy, but she hasn't spoken to him in weeks.
Bess knows more than anyone that love doesn't come without conditions.
But this isn't a love story...

Amazing powerful story
I was blown away by this story. None of us choose the world we are born into, and I was deeply moved by the impact this story had on me. So removed from my own life, I felt the pain acutely for all children who don’t have the lives and love they deserve. I will continue to spend my life making my contribution to improving this imbalance.
Good but slightly disappointing
A good read which had me glued at periods. Unfortunately I did find elements of the book disappointing however although the ending was not as expected it was equally realistic
