Ideal for a relaxing read
Book four of a 5-book series that is advisable to read in the correct order. This fourth book concentrates on Clara, the youngest of the Hannigan sisters, following on from Kate, Amelia and Megan. Clara has finally become independent, is a newly appointed teacher at the local high school and at the start of a serious romance. The main drama in this instalment is provided by the youngest generation, their rumours and cruel innuendos could effectively destroy several peoples' lives, including Clara and Jake.
Set at the end of the summer in the small coastal town of Birch Harbor on Lake Huron, Cottage by the Creek continues following the lives of the close knit Hannigan sisters each attempting to start a new business, while at the same time searching for a reason their father, Wendell Acton, disappeared so many years ago.
An intriguing family saga complete with an ongoing mystery, a mystery that I'm impatiently waiting to be revealed.
